EU Framework Programmes
LMC gives priority to international activities such as participating in EU projects and coordinating EU projects.
As the link to the table of FP6 projects shows, LMC’s research groups participate in a number of projects within EU’s Sixth Framework Programme.
LMC contributed to a vision document to establish a European Technology Platform “Food for Life” under the auspices of the CIAA (CIAA: The Confederation of the food and drink industries). In the autumn of 2005 a board of the European Technology Platform Food for Life was established and here Denmark is represented by two participants: Lisbeth Munksgaard, LMC and Hans Elbaek Pedersen, Danisco.
Under the FP5 LMC was in 2001 approved by EU as a Major Research Infra-structure (MRI) within the food area. The main purpose was to increase the international contact and the exchange of knowledge throughout Europe. MRI was a great success, and 90 researchers visited LMC.
EU and other countries
The research groups collaborate with researchers worldwide, which appears from the websites of the departments (About LMC – LMC Consortium).
International evaluation
The research groups within LMC were in June 2008 evaluated by an inter-national panel. The report assesses many of the research groups as ones of a high international standard.
